 I am a recent graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto. I am passionate about product design and development especially in the fields of mass transit, green mobility and aerospace.

I am currently working towards building and racing  Blue Sky Solar Racing's "Horizon", University of Toronto's entry to the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge- 2015. I am also actively seeking employment in product development, mechanical design and analysis   from late 2015.

 

In the recent past I interned for about 15 months at Flex-N-Gate's Product Development Centre as a Product Engineering student. My work there on design and development of winch and park brake assemblies has given me a good exposure to all aspects of the design process and project management in a fast paced industry like the automotive industry. 

 

My experience in product development as evidenced in this portfolio and resume has made me proficient in the following skills: 

  • CAD: Solidworks, CATIA v5 & v6

  • FEA: ANSYS Workbench, ABAQUS, Hypermesh

  • GD&T: Basic principles, Stack-up analysis

  • DFEMA, Root Cause Analysis

  • Product Costing, Quote acquisition

  • Statistical Analysis: Minitab, Excel

  • Coding: C, C++, Excel-VBA

  • Basic Manufacturing

 

I was born in Mumbai, India but have had the opportunity to live and study in multicultural environments of India, New Zealand and Canada. Growing in these countries and travelling through Asia and Australia has moulded me into an international citizen who understands different cultures and who loves to interact and work with people from myriad backgrounds.
